Citizen journalism, sometimes called "Grassroots Media", is a type of media where the audience reports the news. In this case, we are inviting you to be a reporter for the Blacksburg Village Square.

A citizen journalist is a person that participates in reporting the news even though they are not a professional journalist. With the internet and other types of new media, citizen journalism is becoming more and more popular.
