Gay Saudi Royal prince Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud has been convicted within the U.K. of killing his manservant, which carries a life sentence. In Saudi Arabia, however, he'd be executed for being homosexual, so the Saudi royal prince is leaning away from extradition. The 34-year-old Saudi prince and 32-year-old slave Bandar Abdulaziz had shared a suite at London's Landmark Hotel, where the murder occurred. Alcoholic beverages and intense torture of a sexual nature were reportedly involved within the deadly confrontation. Witnesses claimed that the Saudi royal prince openly debased Bandar Abdulaziz with gleeful regularity. Yet hotel security cameras indicated that Bandar Abdulaziz did not resist, even during his final beating.
Saudi prince didn't get away with diplomatic immunity
Playboy and grandson of Saudi Arabia's king makes him the Saudi Royal prince Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud was wrong when he thought diplomatic defense would conserve him from British justice. His defense said it was manslaughter although he admits to murder eventually. The Old Bailey courts gave the Saudi prince the sentence of prison for life for murder. Of course, since homosexuality is a capital offense in Saudi Arabia, he faces execution at home. Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud has been through photos and physical evidence to have "beyond a shadow of a doubt" subjected Bandar Abdulaziz to "sadistic" sexual torture. This is what Jonathan Laidlaw, the prosecutor, said.
Is the Saudi prince's action towards his servant allowed by the Quran?
Numerous think that the Saudi royal prince had been within one more law. It was within the Sharia law allegedly. When servants misbehaved, the Prophet Mohammad abused servants based on some. Muslim Access explains that there is no physical abuse advocated with the Quran:
"As to those women on whose part you fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance)" - An-Nisa': 34-35
dharban ghayra mubarrih is what beating had been translated from. It means using a siwak, or toothbrush, to give "a light tap that leaves no mark". In the case of the guilty Saudi prince, maybe he ought to have brushed up on how not to seek means of annoyance towards servants. No amount of money from the royal family can purchase the Saudi prince humanity – or conserve him from the chopping block if he's extradited.
